A crepe should arrive warm enough that the chocolate is still moving. Ours are poured, filled and folded when you order, which is the whole difference between this and a crepe that has been sitting under a lamp waiting for someone to want it. The batter goes onto the griddle thin, the filling goes on while the crepe is still on the heat, and it is folded, plated and at the table inside a few minutes.
The seven
The Fruit Crepe carries pineapple, strawberries, bananas, kiwi and blueberries with chocolate drizzled over, and it is the one to order if you want the fruit to do the work. Oreo, KitKat and Kinder do what they say: cookies folded in and finished with chocolate, crisp KitKat pieces wrapped inside, Kinder with marshmallows through it. The Nuts Crepe is walnuts, honey and cream, and it is what people order when they want the traditional version rather than the confectionery one. The Biscoff Lotus crepe is the caramelised-biscuit spread, and the Layali Crepe is the house one, built bigger than the rest and meant for sharing. Chocolate, or not
Four of the seven are built around a chocolate you already know, and if you came here searching for one of them, the answer is yes. If you would rather not have chocolate at all, ask for the Fruit Crepe without the drizzle and it comes as fruit and cream on the warm pastry, considerably lighter and just as good. The Nuts Crepe has no chocolate in it to begin with.
Crepe or waffle
Every filling here also exists as a waffle at the same price. The crepe is soft and warm through; the waffle is crisp at the edge against the melting chocolate. If you cannot decide, order one of each and share, which is how most tables do it. The waffles have their own page with the same fillings pressed rather than folded.
When to order it
Crepes are the thing people come in for after dinner somewhere else, and they are the most-ordered dessert on the menu in the late evening. They travel, but they are best eaten warm, so if you are collecting, order ahead and time the pickup rather than letting it sit. Nothing is charged online; you pay at the counter when you collect.
