A waffle is only as good as the minute it comes off the iron, so ours are pressed when you order and dressed straight after. The batter goes into a deep iron, comes out golden with the pockets that hold the toppings, and is finished at the counter while it is still hot enough to soften the chocolate. The seven
The Fruit Waffle carries pineapple, strawberries, bananas, kiwi and blueberries under chocolate. Oreo, KitKat and Kinder are exactly what they sound like and are what most tables order: cookies folded on and finished with chocolate, crisp KitKat pieces, Kinder with marshmallows and a chocolate drizzle. The Nuts Waffle, honey and nuts and cream, is the quiet one that regulars come back for when they want something less sweet. If you came looking for one topping
If you searched for a specific chocolate on a waffle, the answer is probably yes. Ask at the counter about mixing toppings; some combinations work and we will tell you honestly which do not. If you want something without chocolate at all, the Fruit Waffle without the drizzle is fruit and cream on a warm waffle, and the Nuts Waffle never had chocolate in it.
Belgian style, built for toppings
These are thick, deep-pocketed and pressed to order, the style you would call Belgian. They are made for toppings rather than syrup, which is why the batter is kept plain and the sweetness comes from what goes on top. A waffle cuts into quarters more easily than a crepe, which makes it the better choice for sharing across a table.
